LeBron James Vogue Cover is a Racist Piece of Art.
March 27th, 2008 | by Ethan Jaynes |LeBron James Vogue Cover is a Racist Piece of Art. It seamed harmless at first, but the underlying tones shout at you. She seams delicate and silky with blond flowing hair and invoking all things pure including being white. LeBron has that look on his face and is a black man dressed in black. They are supposed to be complete opposites. All of the subtle nuances of the cover add up to a pretty racist photo.
I do not think it was intended to be that blatant, but the damage is done. Please understand that the point of the picture is that LeBron and the color of his skin (all black peoples skin) is looked at, by Vogue, as the opposite of everything she stands for in the picture.
This is like a Racist piece of art. LeBron should fire his PR people.
