Tennessee Inmates Wear Pink to Seperate from Vol Orange

Tennessee inmates have to wear pink. The Elk Valley Times is reporting on a very interesting development. Lincoln County inmates in Tennessee have to wear pink instead of orange. The inmates can all blame Nathan Childress. This bright young gentleman escaped from his guards and ran up the street and just blended in. No one called the police. There might have been a few that thought he was the place kicker, due to the fact that he was clad in the finest Vol orange from head to toe. Some might have even been jealous of his Orange Army Attire.
This story completely solidifies my current fear of men dressed in pink from head to toe.
This article also breaks on the same day EDSBS takes a look at All the stuff Orange and White people like.
This is the story that was published in the Elk Valley Times.

In an effort to make jail inmates stand out from orange-clad Tennessee Volunteer fans, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department has adopted a bright pink uniform for inmates being transported.
“The whole purpose for this is when Nathan Childress escaped,” said Sheriff Murray Blackwelder.
“He ran up the street with an orange uniform, and no one called us,” he said.
Blackwelder says Lincoln County is in the heart of “Big Orange” country, so the pink uniforms will be a lot more noticeable.
The backs of the uniforms bear the words “Lincoln County inmate” in reflective fluorescent paint.
So far, the sheriff’s department has 60 of these uniforms.
Sgt. Julie Content is in charge of dying the white uniforms pink.
Another benefit of the new program, the sheriff said, is that the new uniforms are much less expensive than the orange ones.
Orange uniforms will still be worn by trusties, who often work out in the community.
What reaction do the inmates have to the new color?
“Some laugh, and some don’t appreciate it,” Blackwelder said.
