May 7th, 2008 | by Ethan Jaynes |

Jason Taylor DancingHOLLYWOOD - Dancing with the Stars favorite Jason Taylor has Hollywood in his sights as if the bright lights were nothing more than a classic pocket QB on 3rd and 15, but don’t expect Hollywood to pass on this talent. Taylor is in talks with The WWE to remake the classic Patricia Highsmith novel The Talented Mr. Ripley as the title character Thomas Ripley opposite The Rock who would play the part Jude Law made famous as Dickie Greenleaf. Taylor mentioned the idea to George Hamilton at a Dancing with the Stars Party and together they brought the idea to the Vince McMahon. Taylor had this to say about the project, “You know I have always felt like I was the Thomas Ripley of the NFL, pretending to be something I wasn’t. Dancing with the Stars has just proved something I’ve always known but couldn’t come out and say in a locker room. Well guess what, football pants don’t have any pockets either. I love dancing.” The part of Marge Sherwood (originally played by Gwyneth Paltrow will feature Dancing with the Stars Alum Stacy Keibler. Keibler who is a huge Jason Taylor fan said, “I love Jason, he’s a total hottie.” When asked if he was worried about teasing from his NFL teammates Taylor had this to say, “I wish we had enough talent on the Dolphins roster that somebody would step up and say something, but we don’t. All we have is the cowboys practice squad.” The film will pair Taylor, the NFL’s Most Valuable player two years ago, on the screen with The Rock who claims to have played for the Miami Hurricanes.

Taylor joked that he hopes the picture opens on the Friday before the Superbowl, that way he will be playing somewhere come Super Bowl Sunday. The Talented Mr. Taylor…I mean Ripley -
