Chinese Children Gymnastic Training Videos
September 10th, 2008 | by Ethan Jaynes |Chinese Children Gymnastic Training Videos. This post is not my usual funny video. I think this is the first time I have ever got up on my Big Soap Box on this blog, but here I go. This is terrible. This is sad. I am a father. I can not imagine people doing this to little kids. Please watch the videos.
The Chinese Gymnastic Gold Medals should be taken away, because this is why the Olympic Committee does not want little kids being FORCED to do.

What disturbed me was one child being yanked off the balance beam and another forced to do the exercise.
This will put your mind at ease. Stretching is not painful for children when done properly. It’s mind over matter.
No one wants to see children breaking down. We need to push our children so they know what they are capable of. Of course there are limits. When it’s beyond the point of ‘this is hard’ or they are genuinely unhappy get them out of there!
No doubt some of those children would have rather been doing something else.

Buddy.
They are being abused. They are being forced to do this.
This is not a bunch of soccer moms dropping their kids off for an hour. They go months at a time without seeing their parents. They are routinely abused more than the cameras caught.
The forced “Stretching” hurts their growth plates.
Also, think about this. If it is a shame to have a girl in China, imagine the way she is treated when the parents decide to keep her because the Olympics are coming up, and then she goes through all of the abuse and does not make the team.
I hate to even think about what happens to that girl.

As a mother of an adopted child from China who does gymnastics I am appalled by this training video. It sickens me to think that many of their parents are not even aware of how their children are being treated. How many of these children are from ophanages and no one to care for them. Gymnastics is a tough sport but this training is extreme and abusive. I am thankful my daughter gets to do a sport she enjoys and trained by coaches who care.
