Quan Cosby, Fiesta Bowl, Game Winning TD, Video. It tore my heart out more than usual to watch Ohio State give this game back to Texas. As a devout Buckeye fan and Ohio native, I really thought Tressel had it right for a minute. I am proud of Ohio State for playing a great Texas team very tough and representing the State of Ohio with a great showing.

This clip is simply Quan Cosby running a slant pattern. Once Colt McCoy sees the linebackers cheating up to blitz, Cosby becomes his hot read. After Cosby catches the perfectly thrown pass, he gets by the last man who would have been able to tackle him and can basically walks the last fifteen yards. McCoy did a great job picking up on blitzes all night and showed why he is considered one of the best in the country.

      I was incensed that Tressel hadn’t just kicked an XP when they regained the lead. Then even a touchdown by the Longhorns would have meant a long FG could win the game for us. Sadly, it didn’t matter. Also sadly, TP didn’t get a shot to make something happen on the last change drive.
