1/10 Saturday Baltimore at Tennessee.
This should be an all-out knock ‘em down pier six brawl. Two of the best defenses in the NFL squaring off in a winner-moves-on contest. Both offenses are mediocre at best, which will make both defenses look even better than they already do. I have to really think about which defense is better, or at least playing better right now to pick a winner. I am going with Baltimore in an upset getting the extra safety and pulling this out, 6-4.
1/10 Saturday Arizona at Carolina
Don’t be so quick to write the Cardinals off in this game. They really have had nothing to play for winning their division practically in the 9th week of the season. Kurt Warner has some of the best receivers in the game and the Edge is playing for pride. Jake Delhomme is streaky and the Panther running attack is solid. Arizona needs to make the Panthers throw the ball to have a chance. I think Carolina wins a close game, a shootout at that, 37-30.
1/11 Sunday Philadelphia at New York
Philly is hot and the Giants are not. Plaxico screwed more up than just his leg with his hoodwink antics as his Giants have really struggled since. I think Donovan McNabb stays hot enough to help the Eagles pull off a major upset. This is exactly how a potential dynasty crumbles before it ever really has a chance to form. Eagles, 24-17.
1/11 Sunday San Diego at Pittsburgh
I believe the last time San Diego lost a game it was to these very Steelers 11-10 in Pittsburgh. It was the first time an NFL game was decided by the final score of 11-10. Momentum has really swung for San Diego as they still have a chance to make a great season out of a disastrous start. The Steelers defense is too good to let 5′8″ Darren Sproles accomplish much. However, the Steelers offense pretty much stinks. I see the Steelers in a repeat of the two teams earlier meeting, Pittsburgh 11-10.
