- You know you took a very small amount of your time, and it was a very nice gesture on your part to invite me out here to watch you play, and in doing so I took something very special away from that, and it has allowed me to work a lot harder in the class room, it’s allowed me to realize that there is a lot in life outside of basketball, and it takes greater commitment and goal setting to get to those things in life, and to fulfill my dreams, and you contributed greatly in doing that.
When you see the smile on his face at the concept that a kid will grow up to say that to him, you will understand why he is known as a great man. I wonder how long he kept up Bernard King’s Corner.
