The LeBron James Nike Dunked On Tape, Video
July 22nd, 2009 | by Ethan Jaynes |The LeBron James Nike Dunked On Tape, Video. This is my obligatory post on the LeBron James tape. Here is what I have to say about it. La Dee Freekin DA! This was no big deal. As you can see, LeBron barely jumped to try to stop the kid, but then he started running back on offense. LeBron is at the top of the key by the time he dunks.
So, why was it so hyped. First, Nike made it a bigger deal than it should have been by taking this lame tape. Then the camera guy told the press about it and tried to get his 15 seconds of fame. Then the Nike and LeBron silence was idiotic. They said nothing and they let the avalanche of comments start to grow.
Now we have people saying that they will never respect LeBron ever again. What? You will not respect LeBron anymore because of this? He is a gold medal winning NBA MVP, and you have lost all respect for him, because his sponsor took a video. Even if LeBron told them to take the video, it is still no big deal. The media made it one. When he is dropping 30-50 every night next year with Shaq by his side, this will be laughed about.
Hat Tip TMZ.
Update. This is a much better version. LeBron is trying harder than I thought, but it is still no big deal. This happens all the time, and Jordan Crawford is a scholarship D1 college basketball player.

There shouldn’t even have been a story here. Nike did a GREAT job creating one.
