Eric Bruntlett Unassisted Triple Play, Phillies Video. It was 7-9 in the bottom of the 9th, at Citi Field. The Mets have runners on 1st and 2nd. A line drive finds the 2nd baseman’s glove. Eric Bruntlett gets the force out at the base and turns around and realizes that he can get the triple play by tagging out the runner … that is running right at him. Game over. Phillies win!

This is what is known as the ultimate rally stopper. This just fits right in with the Mets season. This is the 2nd time in MLB history that a game ends with an Unassisted Triple Play.
